Selma Blair - One Source Talent

Charlie Sheen's temper is back at it again. This time prompting the exit of actress Selma Blair off of the actor's show "Anger Management" (maybe he should take a cue).

Rumors swirled around the actor and co-star Selma Blair after TMZ reported that Blair had gone to exec's on the show complaining that Sheen was impossible to work with and complaining he was always late. When Sheen got wind of the meeting, he made his ultimatum, either fire her from the show or I will not return. TMZ broke the story saying they were told it all started when Selma complained to "AM" execs that Charlie was a menace to work with -- claiming he's late all the time and has a shoddy work ethic.

According to them, they were told Charlie felt Selma was out of line considering he's the star of the show. And he specifically referenced himself learning 40 pages of lines per episode compared to her 2. But sources close to Sheen told TMZ the actor did more than just complain ... he told everyone HE FIRED SELMA altogether. Charlie then made it clear to "AM" honchos ... if Selma shows up to set Monday -- when the show is scheduled to shoot -- he'll refuse to work. And TMZ was also told Charlie wanted to extend an offer to Mila Kunis for a 10 episode arch ... at $1 million per episode!

Well, In a surprising turn of events, Lionsgate released a statement late Tuesday confirming the actress had departed the FX show. "We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management and we wish her the very best," the studio said in a brief statement.

On the show, Blair played Kate, a fellow therapist/"friend with benefits."Blair's departure comes while the comedy is about halfway through completing its 90-episode order from FX.

This isn't the first time Sheen has had controversy on the set of one of his shows. He was fired from CBS' "Two and a Half Men" in 2011 after clashing with producers. In an eleven page letter that Warner Bros. sent to Sheen's attorney, they stated that "[Charlie Sheen] has been engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct and appears to be very ill." Continuing, the letter then describes the public antics that Sheen has been involved in,- including the continuous attacks against Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre. To make sure that Sheen knew exactly why he was being fired from the series - and why having a no morals clause in his contract doesn't mean a thing - Warner Bros. explained that they are able to terminate anyone who has committed "a felony offense involving moral turpitude." "There is ample evidence supporting Warner Bros. reasonable good faith opinion that Mr. Sheen has committed felony offenses involving moral turpitude (including but not limited to furnishing of cocaine to others as part of the self-destructive lifestyle he has described publicly) that have ‘interfere[d] with his ability to fully and completely render all material services required' under the agreement."

That didn't keep the actor down though, he coined the term "winning" and went about his life. He was on quite a ride for a while making headlines everywhere he turned with his odd behavior. The actor has always been a part of some controversy but this time, it appears Sheen was not going to tolerate anyone's opinion of his work ethnic. As for who if anyone will replace the actress, no word is out just yet.

Music Video Auditions - One Source Talent

36 of our Los Angeles talent were requested to be extras in a new music video for the artist Jonezen.

According to the artist's website "Chris Jones a.k.a. Jonezen is a talented rapper/ songwriter/ guitarist/ producer turned public speaker. He currently shares his story to help people find hope again. He's an unlikely spokesperson who is currently working hard and maintaining his sobriety within a world that is packed with all the wrong choices. Jones learned the hard way and was told at the age of 26, that may not live another year due to his excessive drinking. When Chris was at his lowest, his father came to see him. Chris says, "My Dad flew out from Detroit when I hit my bottom and told me it was rehab or no connection with my family. The look in his eyes when he left my apartment was literally what got me to decide to go to rehab." Jonezen refused to go to rehab unless he could bring his recording studio. While in rehab he started writing and recording songs that are available now via his mixtape Live From Rehab. He landed a distribution deal with Famous Records/ Fontana/ Universal. Jeffrey Collins, President, Famous Records Corp., says, "His first release Buried By Six is not only an anthem for people to wake up from their ‘addiction' but it's also becoming a popular record that's being played not only in clubs across the US but also across Europe & as far away as Japan. We're looking forward to his release and work his next album"

His new singles became available on June 1st. The song "Beautiful Disaster" is available now on Live From Rehab. The mixtape is a collage of change. Chris adds, "It has highs and lows just like what I was going through at the time while in rehab."

Chris wrote the second track, "Fathers Eyes" after his Father gave him an ultimatum to get his life together or risk the consequences. Chris explains, "Change is inevitable and when I saw the look in my Dad's eyes... my heart broke." The song grew out of the realization that family is most important and it became his salvation toward sobriety and happiness. Jonezen has always had a philanthropic side... long before entering rehab Chris Co-founded Smash-Life with his brother Zak and his cousin. The clothing line promotes a healthy lifestyle and a positive attitude. Part of the proceeds from his company, Smash-Life, are donated to charities, organizations and foundations. They've already given to The Dream Street Foundation. Kristina Barron, Dream Street Auction Co-Chair says, "It was great having Chris and Smash Life be part of the Dream Street Family. Their donation helped raise funds to send kids with life threatening diseases to camp. They made a difference in the lives of children!" Live From Rehab became an unlikely outlet for Chris as his music evolved into a force and encouraged him to do better. His journey from rehab to recovery to renaissance rapper is evident on his new mixtape and his stories are woven intricately into his songwriting."

The music video shoot took place last week. Our talent were on set playing party going extras. Be sure to look for the video for the song Hella Tight soon! Congrats to all of our talent who took part in the shoot!

Movie Extra Auditions - One Source Talent

9 of our Los Angeles talent were requested as extras for a time piece called "The Perfect Sacrifice"

Set in Chicago and Mississippi in 1955 during the pre Civil Rights epoch, just as tensions in the South vehemently surge following the Brown v. Board of Education one year earlier, this film gives a first hand look at the internal struggle Mrs. Bradley faces following her son's murder as well as the outward battle she endures in trying to view his body.

The film focuses on the day before Emmett Till's funeral. In Chicago, upon receiving Emmett's body that has been shipped from Mississippi, Mamie Till-Bradley, Emmett's mother, is told by Funeral Director A.A. Rayner that the very large pine box carrying her son's remains cannot be opened because it has been sealed and locked by the state of Mississippi.Mrs. Bradley is faced with the decision to either allow his murder to be swept under the rug or to take a stand against this blatant injustice and push for an open-casket funeral so that the world will see what happened to her son.

Emmett "Bobo" Till was born July 25, 1941 in Chicago to Louis and Mamie Till. He was raised in Argo, a little town just outside of Chicago by his mother and grandmother, Alma Spearman. He was a very industrious kid who took great pride in everything he did. As a young child, he found work by assisting the Milkman with delivering bottles to people in the neighborhood and for that he would receive tips. At the time of his death, he was an 8th grader at the all-black McCosh Elementary School on the South Side. He would often take on chores at home such as cooking and cleaning as a way to ease the load on his mother who worked long hours as a clerk typist for the Air Force.

He was quite a playful and boastful young man who loved being the center of attention. He would often tell jokes and pull pranks on his cousins and friends. His favorite comedian was George Gobel, whom he would often imitate. Although suffering from polio at the age of three, which left him with a slight limp and speech defect (stutter), he was a very self-assured young man who commanded attention wherever he went. On August 20, 1955, Emmett traveled to Mississippi to visit his great-uncle and cousins. Turning fourteen just weeks before, this was Emmett's first trip to Mississippi without his mother. Before he left, Mamie warned him of the differences between Chicago and Mississippi and instructed him to act accordingly, especially in the presence of whites. Four days into his trip, he and his cousins went to Bryant's Grocery & Meat Market to buy snacks. The market was owned by a white couple, Roy Bryant and Carolyn Bryant. Carolyn was alone in the store when the children arrived.

Although it is unclear what happened inside the store when Emmett entered to buy bubblegum, once he left, Carolyn Bryant soon followed. At that point, Emmett turned and whistled at her. His cousins were afraid and they all left immediately. Four days later, early Sunday morning, Roy Bryant and his half-brother, J.W. Milam went to Emmett's great-uncle's house and took him from the bed he was sleeping in. Roy and J.W. took Emmett to a barn on J.W.'s property where he was beaten to a pulp, tortured beyond belief and then shot in the head. The men then picked up a 70 pound cotton gin fan and tied it around Emmett's neck with barbed wire and then tossed his body in the Tallahatchie River. Emmett was missing for three days before a teenager fishing in the river noticed two feet bobbing out of the water. Emmett's naked body was pulled from the river and revealed a corpse that was so mutilated that he could only be identified by the ring his mother had given him just before his trip. Mamie received word that her son's body had been found and was to be buried that same day by orders of the Sheriff (COVER UP)... After all, the only way to prevent people from seeing something is to bury it.

Mamie rallied officials in Chicago to have her son's body shipped back home. He arrived in Chicago, September 4, 1955. Instead of allowing the incident to be swept under the rug, Mamie made a bold statement by putting her son's body on display so that the world could see what happened to him and to reveal hatred in its ugliest form.

This is a great opportunity for our talent to get to help tell this true story. Congrats to all of our talent who were chosen to take part in this film!

TV Pilot Auditions - One Source Talent

San Francisco talent Derrick Riehl has been requested to audition for a new T.N.T. pilot called "Murder in the First".

The new T.V. pilot is set to star Taye Diggs, Tom Felton, who is perhaps best known to most of us for portraying Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter film franchise, and Kathleen Robertson (Boss) as PD homide detectives.

Murder In The First, TNT's drama from NYPD Blue co-creator Steven Bochco. Co-created by Bochco and Eric Lodal, Murder In The First is a murder mystery set in contemporary San Francisco. Said to be in the vein of The Killing, it centers on two SFPD homicide detectives, Terry Seagrave (Diggs) and Hildy Mulligan (Robertson), as they take on a case that seems more like a maze.

Taye Diggs has appeared in 42 projects. He made his first big appearance in the film How Stella Got Her Groove Back. The actor went on to appear in The Best Man, House on Haunted Hill and The Way of the Gun before landing the role of Jackson Duper in the television series Ally McBeal. The actor played the Bandleader in the 2002 Academy Award winning film Chicago. The film won six Oscars and was nominated for 7 more! The film won Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design, Best Film Editing, Best Sound, Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Catherine Zeta-Jones and it won the highest honor a film can receive, Best Picture. The other categories in which the film was nominated were Best Actor in a Supporting Role John C. Reilly, Best Actress in a Leading Role Rene Zellweger, Best Actress in a Supporting Role Queen Latifah, Best Cinematography, Best Music Original Song, Best Writing Adapted Screenplay and Best Director Rob Marshall. After Chicago, Diggs showed off his comedic side in the hilarious Jamie Kennedy film Malibu's Most Wanted. He had the title role in the television series Kevin Hill before landing roles in Cake and Rent. He appeared on the shows Will & Grace, Day Break and Grey's Anatomy which landed him the same role in the spinoff show Private Practice in which he has appeared on from 2007-2013.

Kathleen Robertson's name may not sound all that familiar, but you will probably recognize her from the shows Beverly Hills 90210, the film Scary Movie 2 and the television series Boss.

If selected for the role he is auditioning for, Derrick will portray a scrappy hip hop street kid who's been stealing copper from abandoned buildings. He's terrified when broached by police. He finally gives a description of a man he saw leaving the building at the time of a murder. Hopefully the pilot goes well and the show is picked up as a series on the network.

This is an amazing opportunity for Derrick, we couldn't be more excited for him! He auditioned this past week for the role. Good luck Derrick!

Naomi Watts Film - One Source Talent

Here is a film longtime coming. Diana. A love story about family, friendship and the calamity of fame.

Had she succeeded, the events of that summer might have been very different.
The film is to be directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel (Downfall), and stars academy nominee Naomi Watts (The Impossible, J Edgar, King Kong, 21 Grams) as Princess Diana. The film also stars fellow British actor Naveen Andrews (LOST, THE ENGLISH PATIENT).

Watts bears a striking resemblance to the princess in the film. The actress has been nominated for two Academy Awards. She was nominated back in 2004 for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the film 21 Grams. Just this past year, she was nominated in the same category for her role in the film The Impossible. She scored herself a Golden Globe nomination this past year as well for the film. She was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture- Drama. The actress has been in 50 films! Her most memorable films include Mulholland Drive, The Ring, I Heart Huckabees, King Kong, The Painted Veil and most recently J. Edgar. The film starred Leonardo DiCaprio as the man himself, J. Edgar Hoover was feared and admired, reviled and revered. But behind closed doors, he held secrets that would have destroyed his image, his career and his life. Watts played faithful secretary Helen Gandy, who knew that Hoover himself was a man with many secrets to hide.

Diana is a compelling portrait of Diana, Princess of Wales during the final two years of her life. It charts how finding true personal happiness allowed her to achieve her defining successes, as she evolved into a major international campaigner and humanitarian.

The film is due for worldwide release in September of this year. This is definitely a story a lot of people want to see. We bet it will be a hit around the world!
