It's not always easy to keep up with everything we need to. Work and school usually take their toll and we sometimes forget to take care of ourselves in our busy day to day schedules. Sure we would all love to be able to got to the spa and get a makeover, but time and money isn't always on our side.
That's why we have put together some simple relaxing and inexpensive ways to treat yourself to a home makeover.
- Before we start our make over you first need to take a shower to get relaxed and refreshed.
- Give yourself a facial. There are plenty of inexpensive things you can pick up at your local drug store but there are plenty of things in your refrigerator that will do that trick too.
- Some examples are:
- Apple & Honey Mask (for oily skin) 1 apple 1 teaspoon honey Grate the apple, mix in the honey. Apply to your face.
- Lemon & Flour Mask (for oily or pimple-prone skin) 4 Tablespoons flour 4 Tablespoons plain/natural yoghurt 1 teaspoon lemon juice Mix all the ingredients together to make a paste. Apply to skin.
- Cucumber & Yogurt Mask (for combination skin) ¼ of a cucumber 1 Tbsp plain/natural yoghurt Puree the cucumber in a blender. Mix in the yogurt. Apply to face.
- Whiskey & Milk Mask (for normal skin) 1 tablespoon whiskey 1 whole egg ¼ cup dry milk powder juice of 1 lemon Mix all of the ingredients together. Apply to face, but take care to avoid the eye area.
- Avocado & Honey Mask (For dry skin) 2 tablespoons of avocado 2 tablespoons honey 1 egg yolk Mash up the avocado, add the honey and egg. Mix it all together. Apply to face.
- Brush, floss, and mouthwash. All models you see on T.V. have perfect pearls, but you don't need those kind of teeth to feel beautiful. Still, a good choice would be apples. Did you know that apples not only taste good but they whiten your teeth.
- Do something different with your hair. If you normally go straight then try the curly route, and vise versa. The object is to make yourself feel good with a different look
- If you can't go and get one, give yourself a manicure/pedicure. It's not as hard as you think.
- Apply some cosmetics and remember that the less noticeable your make up is the more beautiful you will look.
- Pick out a few of your favorite pieces of clothing and put them together in a new and exciting way.
- Don't forget your accessories.
- Go out with friend and show them your mini Makeover. When you feel good about yourself it shows.
You just don't always know what treating yourself can do for your looks. Just take Betty for example.
