Last Sunday FOX's DON'T FORGET THE LYRICS!, hosted by Wayne Brady held live auditions in One Source Talent's Miami office and we got a peek at what it takes to be a contestant on the hit show.
Doors opened at 9 a.m. and soon after the line went out the door. Everyone was eager to show off their memory skills and the One Source Talent team was just as excited to watch and help out with the whole thing. I wasn't too suprised at how many people did forget lyrics but that was ok because they weren't all that great at singing anyway. Haha. A couple did shine through the groups. It was also rumored that Dottie Kassab, Talent Coordinator at the Miami office, was going to audition to be a contestant on the show as well, but we won't get into that. lol. Overall the auditions went really well. Fox was really pleased with the turnout. Now we all can't wait to see which possible contestant make it on the show!!
For those of you haven't seen the popular game show, its hilarious! Ordinary people get a chance to win $1,000,000 JUST for knowing the lyrics to the hit songs of the 60's up until today's hits... but there's a catch. Here is how it works: The contestants on DON'T FORGET THE LYRICS! are able to choose songs from different genres, musical artist and decades. They then take center stage where they sing karaoke style with the studio band and a screen with projected lyrics to help out. But just as they get into it, the music and the words disappear, leaving them to either say the right lyrics or freeze on the spot. After each correct response, they then have to decide to continue to play or escape with the money they gained thus far. Check out this clip of past contestants:
This coming Sunday, FOX is going to be taking over our New York office when they hold their New York auditions there. If you're interested in being on the show, don't hesitate to show up and audition. Don't forget to bring a BIG personality and most of all DON'T FORGET THE LYRICS!!
