3 Actors Who Should Have Won an Oscar Already

The Oscars | One Source Talent Blog

We think these are the top three actors who should have won an Oscar already!  They have all been nominated, but just could not win.  Cast your vote and tell One Source Talent who you think will win an Oscar first!

Leonardo DiCaprio | One Source Talent BlogLeonardo DiCaprio has been in one hit after another, but he still keeps coming in a bit short of an Oscar.  It seems that Martin Scorsese has been trying to turn Leo into the next Robert De Niro, which I feel he is not to far away from.  Mr. DiCaprio's first noteworthy role after Titanic came in the Scorsese-directed Gangs of New York in 2002.

Scorsese has casted Leonardo DiCaprio as Howard Hughes in The Aviator (for which he was nominated in the best-actor field) and as an undercover state police officer infiltrating the Irish mob in 2007's The Departed.  Some thought he also should have been nominated for The Departed, but he was too busy being nominated as a jewel smuggler in Blood Diamond.

It seems clear that Mr. DiCaprio has learned you rarely go wrong when you work with top-notch directors.  As long as he keeps this up, it won't be long until he wins an Oscar.

Johnny Depp | One Source Talent BlogJohnny Depp is best known for his of offbeat, eccentric characters such as Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series.  He has collaborated with director and close friend Tim Burton in seven films, beginning with his breakout role in Edward Scissorhands in 1990, opposite Winona Ryder and Vincent Price.  The most recent of which include Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and the upcoming Alice in Wonderland which is set to come out in 2010.

Johnny Depp was nominated for an in 2004 and 2005 but wasn't disappointed about missing out.  He said: "I don't want to get up in front of all those people and thank them. It scares the s**t out of me.  The nomination was enough for me.  I felt very honored. It's not about the awards. I just love acting."  The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star also says he doesn't care about the glitz and glamour of Hollywood and prefers to stay out of the spotlight.  We still wanna see you take an Oscar home Johnny!

Edward Norton | One Source Talent BlogEdward Norton was nominated for an Academy Award In 1996, his supporting role in the courtroom drama Primal Fear for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. A year later, his lead role as a reformed neo-Nazi skinhead in American History X earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.  His other films include period dramas such as The Illusionist, The Painted Veil, and Kingdom of Heaven; dramas such as 25th Hour; and other notable films such as Fight Club, and The Incredible Hulk.  All these movies were hits, but still no Oscar.

I must say, I have seen Primal Fear and Fight Club at least a dozen times.  We are waiting for that roll that wins him an Oscar!
