One of the greatest fashion designers and icons of 20th century, Yves Saint Laurent, passed away this past Sunday at his home in Paris. Saint Laurent, age 71, had been suffering with a year long battle with brain cancer. The designer is credited for giving woman power through fashion and what they wore. In his own words, Saint Laurent once said he felt "fashion was not only supposed to make women beautiful, but to reassure them, to give them confidence, to allow them to come to terms with themselves." 

A funeral ceremony was scheduled for Thursday at the Saint Roch Church in central Paris. Saint Laurent will be missed by all.
