Why do some new models go on to become successful and in high demand while others fade away? It comes down to good old business traits: for example hard work, and personality, in this case.
Two models of equal beauty can go in opposite directions; one up and the other down. And it's because of how well they work with others and how likable they are. Example in hand: Amanda Laine, a new model that's taking the fashion world by storm at such a young age (16 I believe). Winner of the V A Model contest last year she's beginning to dominate the runways and editorials, and it's only the start for her. From the pictures i've seen of her backstage and off the runway she seems to be a darling to work with, fun and cheery at all times.
To be a successful model you have to work your butt off, but more importantly be social, out going, and again likable. Willing to try new things in life. If you're shy, and hold back you're not going to get far.
It's a balancing act which is important for all models to know! A combination of staying respectful, outgoing, a bit adventurous, and good old nice nice nice, to the people they work with. After all, It's a small world, and fashion people love to gossip.
