Not if Fox has anything to say about it. According to IMDB, Fox is near a deal to order more seasons of the singing show "American Idol" even if Simon Cowell leaves after his contract is up at the end of 2010.

The network is working on a deal that will include 3 more seasons but there could still be more or less, nothing is confirmed yet. It has been rumored that Cowell plans to leave Idol to focus on his other U.K. based show X Factor.

The rumors say he plans to bring that show to the states and that Simon wants to soley focus on that show. We'll have to wait until Fox announces their next move. Paula Abdul was replaced, now what would the show be without Cowell? We want to know your thoughts!
