"Twilight", if you haven't heard of this film, I'm not sure where you have been over the last few months. I finally had the chance to sit down and watch it after seeing the craze that has been going on. A film that was made for around 37 million and grossed over 351 million, I had to see. I must admit, I went to the movie store, reluctantly picked up a copy and took it home.
I just had to know for myself what was the big deal with this film. Let me start by saying, I didn't read the books, so I'm going on the movie alone. As I popped in the DVD I was wondering, is this film worth all of the buzz? I am a huge movie buff, in fact films are my life! So here we go....
At first, I couldn't see why "Edward" had all the girls in quivers, I was kind of afraid of him, but that's the thing about Robert Pattinson. He was truly fit for this role. Not many actors can pull off being a creepy guy that you just want to learn more about and can't look away from, but he did. He had captured my heart by the end of this movie. Ahhhh, Kristen Stewart, wow! She is only 18 years old and she was phenomenal. I don't think they could have cast anyone else in the role of Bella, or Edward for that matter.
These roles were made for them. I liked the story, I was encaptured by the characters, but in all I have to say I loved this film. It's a love story at it's finest. So I say yes, it is worth all of the buzz. I can't wait to see the sequel, "The Twilight Saga, New Moon". And who knows, maybe I'll read the books now too!
