2010 Doritos Super Bowl Commercial - OST's Macario Slaps The Competition

2010 Doritos Super Bowl Commerical

What started out as an audition for a spec commercial, has turned into a media storm for 4 year old Macario Canillas. We were contacted back in October we submitted some of our talent out to a casting that had been placed for a Doritos Commercial for the Crash the Super Bowl contest.

We offered to hold the auditions for the client in our One Source Talent Beverly Hills office. Out of the talent he saw, he loved Macario and booked him for the shoot. We were very excited that Macario was going to get a chance to get some experience and build his resume, but none of us were prepared for what was about to come. With over 4,000 submissions, Macario's commercial "House Rules" was chosen as one of the top 6 finalists.

All of the commercials that won the top 6 finalist spots were awarded $25,000.00. Next it was time for the viewers to vote for their favorites and the top 3 choices would be aired during the Super Bowl. We were so excited when we saw the commercial air. Macario has been the talk of the country ever since.

His commercial was the top Super Bowl commercial re-played by TiVo users with a total of 15% of those households re-watching the commercial. "House Rules" was also ranked highest in msnbc.com's Super Bowl Ad Showdown. We couldn't be happier for the success of the commercial and the press Macario is seeing. Were sure this is only the beginning for him
