Dallas talent Mauricea Fletcher and Imaobong Bassey were requested to audition to be extras for the play "Moby Dick" that will be a Dallas Opera world premiere. Moby-Dick explores the lethal power of obsession and the need for human connection and understanding in an increasingly multicultural world.
Based on Herman Melville's sprawling 19th century literary masterpiece, Moby-Dick is filled with mysterious encounters, exotic characters and one man's quest for a white whale that leaves death and destruction in its wake. If either are booked, they will be paid for their performances. The show is set to run at the Dallas opera from the end of April through mid-March.
