Feature Film Auditions - One Source Talent

Los Angeles talent Mallory Singh was requested to audition for the film "I'll Meet You Back Then".

The film is about Merlin, who has sacrificed his tomorrows to live backward, hoping to someday arrive at the day when he first met his wife, in order to save her from ever having met him in the first place, from dying as a result of his neglect. Every day that takes him one step closer to then teaches him a thing or two about being a better man, a better husband.

The film takes place on a day like any other, Merlin is busy expanding his business, as usual. From home, he calls Ashlyn, his wife, to remind her that they are running late to meet an important client. Unfortunately, her temporary memory loss has somewhat frozen her to the spot in the gym locker room, and she fears leaving on her own. Merlin is sympathetic at first, but when he goes to help his wife and witnesses an encounter between her and the gym coach he assumes his wife has been cheating with, he loses his temper. Instead of taking Ashlyn to the doctor to see about her memory loss problem that has her babbling incoherently and nearly paralyzed and confused at times, Merlin storms out and goes to the meet the client by himself.

The meeting goes well for Merlin. The client has always been interested in an antique: a pocket-watch that moves counterclockwise. The seller, Mia, claims it is the only one of its kind in the world, but when Merlin calls bluff and proves that he owns an identical watch, he catches the attention of someone he's been trying to track down. Merlin returns home feeling satisfied with his efforts, only to find his wife unconscious, lying on the kitchen floor. He finally takes her to the hospital, but his efforts to help her are too little too late, for she dies there. Because of his argument with his wife in public about her gym coach, the police suspect foul play on his part, particularly because he neglected her when she was in dire and obvious need of medical care. Merlin argues with the police, and the situation gets out of hand, resulting in him being shot by the police officer and running away. While he is on the run, Merlin meets a homeless man who helps him hide from the police. To thank the homeless man and as a temporary escape from his own pain and misfortune, Merlin buys a large quantity of alcohol and goes on a drinking binge with his new vagrant friend. Drunk out of his wits, he somehow manages to find his way to the hotel where Mia, the watch-seller, is staying. He had his reasons for seeking her out, as he'd heard a rumor that the one selling the pocketwatch was a Time Loaner. Drunk, on the run, heartbroken, and overcome with guilt for what happened to his wife, he begs Mia to help him turn back time. She refuses at first but changes her mind when the man expresses his regret for neglecting his wife. Mia and Merlin make a deal, but Merlin is too drunk to remember the details. Merlin wakes up from his drunken stupor to find his wife sound asleep by his side. He checks the kitchen where he'd found her unconscious and realizes he must have dreamt the whole sordid ordeal. He makes breakfast for Ashlyn for the first time in his life, but the next day, he finds out that Ashlyn does not remember him cooking for her. After a series of incidents and odd, confusing happenings, Merlin finally realizes that he is moving backward through time, always living yesterday. The next day, the same thing happens; his life is going backward, day by day, and he knows the Time Loaner has kept her end of the strange bargain. The process of undoing all the life he has lived is painful and frustrating. He finally reaches the first day when he and Ashlyn met. According to the drunken deal he made with Mia, now that he has rewound time till before he met his wife, he will spare her from ever meeting him and dying because of his neglect. As soon as he willingly hands over all of his memory about the future years to Mia, the deal will be concluded, and he will be able to live normally, all over again. Merlin regrets the deal, though, for he wants to remember everything that has happened. The consequence for breaking the contract he made with the Time Loaner is simple: He must keep living backward.

Before Ashlyn and Merlin met during Ashlyn's studies abroad in China, she lived in the United States. When he is twenty-two again, living in China, there is no way Merlin can ever see Ashlyn again because of the distance. His days feel pointless, purposeless, until he realizes that even though nothing he does accumulates to a tomorrow, there are still meaningful things he can do. Merlin decides to live in the moment, making people smile. One day, an air ticket agent mentions to Merlin that there exists an international date line between the U.S. and China. He realized that when people cross the line at exactly twelve midnight, they technically travel back one day, which was quite similar to Merlin's own situation. Hoping to take advantage of this crack in time, so as to gain a continuous forty-eight-hour period, Merlin hijacks a plane and asks the pilot to cross the date line at exactly midnight. He has little luck at this but then simply tries again and again and again. After dozens of attempts, he finally meets Ashlyn again. As far as Ashlyn knows, it is the first time she has ever met him. The weird boy tells her of the life they've already shared in his history, and he begs her forgiveness. Ashlyn likes him and asks him to go back to normal time so they can meet again.

The film will be partly shot in Shanghai, although the role Mallory will be auditioning for will only be filming in Los Angeles. If she is booked for the film, she will shoot at the end of this month. Mallory has only been a talent with us since March. She is new to the industry. Good luck Mallory, we hope you book the role!

Family Game Night Auditions - One Source Talent

Los Angeles talent Mckayla Salceda was requested for a tapping of the Hub's "Family Game Night".

Emmy Award-winning host, Todd Newton, is the guide during this hour of action, strategy, and teamwork. Featuring classic game night games, only bigger, better, and more exciting! Watch weekly as families come together to compete for points, prizes and a chance to make a withdrawal from the Crazy Cash ATM machine!
For the first two seasons, the TV show featured two families of four competing for cash and prizes. Each family consisted of the mother, the father, and two children aged 8 to 18. Teams are usually named for the younger of the two kids (i.e. Willie's Family or Suzie's Family).

Teams earned "Monopoly Crazy Cash Cards" by playing the various games, normally five of them in each episode. Whenever a family won a game, the youngest child was allowed to select a Monopoly Crazy Cash Card from a rack located at the "Crazy Cash Corner" on the far left of the stage. The rack initially held 21 different cards, each depicting one of the tokens used in either the original "Monopoly" board game or the "Monopoly: Here And Now Edition" board game. Each card held a different randomized amount of money, which was revealed at the end of the show. Most of the cards were valued between $200-$995 in $5 increments, although at least one card held a four-figure amount (usually between $1,000-$7,000) and one card was the "Top Cash Card" worth between $7,500-$25,000. In addition to the Cash Card, a family that won a game also received a special bonus prize which they kept regardless of the final outcome of the show. In the first season of the show, this prize was simply revealed by host Newton, but in the second season, each bonus prize was a "Monopoly Party Prize" revealed by announcer Burton. At the end of the show, both families took their accumulated cards to the "Crazy Cash Machine". Each card was placed into the Machine, revealing its value, at which point the machine would spit out the amount in oversized Monopoly Money bills. Both families kept all the cash and prizes they won during the game, and the family with the most cash at the end also won a family vacation. If the "Top Cash Card" was not found by the players, the host would usually tell the audience near the end of the show what card held it.

In season 3, the format of the show was changed slightly. Instead of two families competing for the whole show, families of varying sizes were chosen from the studio audience to play the games, winning cash or prizes. Instead of earning Monopoly Cash Cards, teams compete for the right to take combination codes from the Mr. Monopoly statue's hand. After four games are played, the families attempt to use these cards to open the Community Chest. If they pick the winning combination, they win money and get a chance to play for more money and a new car.

There are several games the families play. The hour long show first debuted on October 10, 2010 on the channel, The Hub, formerly Discovery Kids.. Each season will contain 30 episodes.

Mckayla is a brand new talent with us just joining on May 13th! Be sure to watch the show and look for she and her family to appear! The show airs on the Hub Sundays at 7pm ET | 4pm PT.

Feature Film Auditions - One Source Talent

24 of our Michigan based talent were requested to audition for the upcoming film "Futility."

It is an independent non-union feature film.

The film poses the question, Have or ever had a job you loath? It's another summer for a nameless manager of a swim club in upper middle class suburbia. The movie begins with this person getting called into work on their day off (Smith, "Clerks" ). The manager encounters lazy employees, nasty children, and a multitude of other rambunctious characters. Throughout the movie the manager notices people over look and not fully appreciate what they have. The manager meanders through life curiously upbeat minus the occasional rant reminiscent of a Holden Caulfield (Sallinger. "The Catcher and the Rye"). And despite being indifferent to many aspects of classic hollywood style productions the manager begins drafting a narrative to reach the public on such issues. The manager attempts to rid the work of authorship and profit as an "independent film" but quickly learns as to the difficulty of the task at hand.

The client was casting for several different roles. Some of the characters being cast are the roles of McTeague - young man, distinct attitude and confidence. They were seeking a male who was 18-24 years old. Another role they were casting for was the role of Jennifer. A 16-18 year old who is self centered high school girl, and rude. The client was also casting a male and female to play a mother and father in the film. They were looking for actors ages 35 -50. The client was also looking to fill the roles of Adrian an adventurous, excitable, fun loving ages 16-18 year old. The rest of the roles being cast were Joe the buddy (16-18), Margie bad communication skills, awkward, lingerer ages 14-16, the women - stereotypical female model type, sharp ages 18 -24 and a Girl - curious, respectful ages 12-14.

Auditions for the film took place this past weekend. Futility will be shot in HD. The film will be hitting the festival circuit. It was written by Garrick Givens who will also be directing the film. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away - but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

In the first film one of the world's most popular characters came back to the big screen as a new chapter in the Spider-Man legacy is revealed in The Amazing Spider-Man.
