Two of our New York kids, Azmaan Kolondar and Steven Quintero, have been requested to be in an upcoming feature film. The film is about a college student's experience after going through financial struggles for the first time.
This is the story of a college student's journey who hits rock bottom: His father can no longer support his expensive lifestyle in the city due to financial instability. Akash is no spoiled brat, but he's never had a problem with money inflow to afford the upper middle class college life. After exhausting all options (eg. he tries to steal something from a deli), Akash's guilt brings forth a more open understanding of the functioning of society and how it has become a money-fueled machine.
He graduates with a degree in economics, but knows that isn't his cup of coffee. His journey helps him pursue what he grew up loving to do and allows him to understand that we are all made for something. You should live off of doing what you love, rather than giving money a higher priority and earning it through any means possible... leaving your passions behind.
