The client was looking to casting athletic models between the ages of 13 and 40 years old for the shoot. The auditions for the project took place on December 3rd and December 4th in Irving, Texas. The photo shoot is paid if any of our talent are chosen. The client isn't able to release the name of the brand just yet, but we can tell you that it is for sport equipment. 20 of our Dallas talent were requested to audition for the upcoming feature film "Shattered Glass".
The film is about Liam, a man in his late 20's who is locked away inside a psychiatric hospital with extreme delusions. His wife, Amanda, a woman in her mid to early 20's is going to visit Liam today to tell him of a startling decision she's made against the advice of her friends, family and Liam's doctor. As the day's events unfold we look back at the life of Liam and Amanda. How they met. How they loved. How they lost. The climax is found in the last moments of the film when Amanda voices her decision to Liam in his hospital room. Liam this decision be Liam's salvation or a final, devastating blow to his already fragile psyche?
The client will be casting for five roles in the upcoming film. They will be casting for the role of Paul "Liam" Williams; (must be able to pass for) 24 - 30; Preferred at least 5'9", in at least moderately good shape; military experience of any kind is a plus. They will be casting for the role of Amanda Bennet; (must be able to pass for) 19 - 26; Slender to athletic build, preferably of a fair to lightly tanned complexion (though this is not necessary). The third role the client is casting for is for the role of Margaret "Maggie" Bennet; (must be able to pass for) 22-29; preferably at least 5'8" with slender/sharp features. They will also be seeking to fill the role of Don; (must be able to pass for) 27 - 33; preferably at least 5'8"; a foreign accent or the ability to put on a foreign accent is a plus. And the final supporting role the client is casting is for the role of Dr. McClain (Psychiatrist); No definite age (though must be of an age appropriate to his/her occupation) or gender; Preferably this individual would have believably Scottish features (an accent would be a large plus though is not necessary). The client will be casting for two minor roles, males to play frat boys.
Auditions for the film will be held on Saturday, December 14th, from 10am to 5pm in Commerce, TX 75428. Actors will be asked to prepare a monologue that is both age and subject matter appropriate for this project. Upon arrival, actors will be given sides and then asked to do a cold reading of that side after which a decision will be made as to whether or not the actor is to be considered for a role. If the actor is to be considered, he/she will be asked to perform his/her prepared monologue as well as to do some cold readings with the other actors who will make it through the first round of auditions. Once the audition process is concluded, all those who made it through all rounds of auditions will receive an e-mail within 24 hours that will state whether or not they have been cast; that email will include any additional pertinent information about the project.
The majority of the Principal Shooting will take place in Greenville, TX 75401. There will be 1 to 3 days of shooting that will take place on location most likely in Galveston TX, on the beach (all necessary expenses will be provided for that trip); this trip will likely only be required of the two Lead roles. 34 of our Atlanta talent were requested to audition for the upcoming stage production "From the Ashes: The Birth & Rise of Hip Hop"
From The Ashes is an inspiring story about the birth and rise of hip hop culture. It is seen through the eyes of its protagonist Chris, an aspiring DJ who finds in the emerging hip hop culture, hope of a better life and shelter from the negative forces of gangs, drugs and crime prevalent in South Bronx, NY in the 1970's It is inspiring, informative and comical.
The client is casting for both adult and teen roles in the upcoming production. Some of the roles the client needs to fill is for the roles of Old School Rap Artists: Members of the Cold Crush Brothers, Members of the Fantastic Romantic Five, Chief Rocker Busy Bee and Emcee Kool Moe Dee. Also, female rappers Sha Rock of the Funky Four Plus One and Lisa Lee of the Zulu Nation. The actors playing these artists will perform as rappers and likely play another role in the play. These actors will be under the guidance and artistic direction of LA Sunshine of the Treacherous Three, himself an old school rap pioneer. Grand-dad Chris Ponder is a fifty year-old African-American. He was raised in the South Bronx during the 1970's. He tells his grandson Marcus his story and narrates the play. Uncle Dwayne is a 49 year-old African-American. He is very comical. He adds to the story being narrated by the grandfather. Marcu who is the 12 year-old grandson who hears the story.
The client was also casting for the following: Kevin Ponder senior who is a 38-40 year old African-American male. He grew up in Valdosta, Georgia during the Jim Crow era. He participated in the civil rights movement as a community organizer and the NAACP representative for the area. He met his wife Janice during this time. In the late sixties the couple with their two sons Kevin Jr. (12) and Chris (4) to the South Bronx, New York. He is a dreamer who envisioned a better life in New York for his family than the conditions of the Deep South. He became dismayed when he felt the treated with the same disrespect characteristic of southern race relations. In New York, he lost a good job because he spoke out against a perceived racial bias in the work place. He was never able to keep steady employment because of the economic crisis of the time. This lead to turmoil between he and his wife. Kevin left his family a few years after they moved to the South Bronx. Janice Ponder, who is a 36-49 year old African-American woman. She was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She met her husband Kevin while he was in Atlanta attending a civil rights organizational meeting. She was there with her father, the Pastor of an Atlanta church. She continued to be involved in the movement. After their marriage, the couple moved to Chicago then the South Bronx, New York. Kevin Ponder Jr, is a teenage (12-17) African-American male. Like his father he has a strong and rebellious spirit. As a youngster he admired his father, especially his involvement in the civil rights community. His admiration kept him focused. However, after his father left he found guidance and that extended family relationship in the gangs of the South Bronx. They were the people in the struggle fighting the junkies. However, as gangs turned to crime so did he. And more!
Auditions for the project will be taking place on December 14th in Stone Mountain Georgia. There is pay for this project as well as travel and lodging where necessary. Good luck to all 34 of our talent who will be audtioning!

8 of our Ohio talent were selected to audition for the stage play "Arthur and the Magic Sword."
Join the magical journey into the world of Arthur, a mysterious young boy destine for greatness. Based on the classic legend of King Arthur, this show is sure to. *The wonderful magician, Merlin, matches his wit and magic with young Arthur's formidable sister, Morgan le Fay. Merlin protects the boy until Morgan leads Arthur to the magic sword Excalibur that makes him king. Full of fast-moving action, suspense and adventure-this play will keep your family delighted from beginning to end.
The production is being put on by the Columbus Children's Theatre. Their goal is to inspire and enrich the lives of children and their families through live theatre and theatre education. CJT was founded by Mrs. Howard (Sis) Bloom back in 1963to offer classes in theatre and production experiences for children throughout central Ohio. With the help of Mrs. Michael Herrel, classes are first taught in a space on West Broad Street and later moved to Trinity Episcopal Church.
At Columbus Children's Theatre they educate and involve young people of all backgrounds in the theatre arts. Through their programs they foster self-esteem and self-discovery by emphasizing discipline, integrity, team-building, and communication skills in a positive and creative environment. They promote access to theatre arts for families who do not have regular opportunities to appreciate theatre in their lives because of either economic, cultural, or other barriers. This year, their budget exceeds $1,000,000 as they celebrate their 50th anniversary and embark upon strategic planning process and organizational restructuring to set stage for the beginning of the next 50 years, including plans to build a new state-of-the-art theatre.
Arthur and the Magic Sword is set to have shows running from Feb 6, 2014 through Feb 23, 2014. Auditions took place December 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Columbus, Ohio. The client was casting both adults and kids between the ages of 12 and 17 for several roles in the upcoming play. Good luck to all of our talent who were chosen to audition for the production!
60 Dallas talent were invited to audition for feature film "Lentil Soup".
During the wake of their mother's death, two brothers, one a born-again Christian who is serving a life sentence in prison, and the other, a newly appointed police chief of their small hometown and someone who struggles with his faith, uncover a profound family secret, after the eldest brother is lured by temptation and coincidentally escapes from custody, that could sever what remains of their broken relationship or could very well be the catalyst that restores it. This is a very powerful story of redemption and forgiveness.
The client was casting for more than 30 roles for the film! Some of the roles the client was looking to cast was for the role of -Paul Sheve Lead Male Late 30s. Caucasian. A ward of the Texas penal system who is serving a life sentence. Coincidentally, he is also a born-again Christian who sets the plot into motion by momentarily falling into temptation and escaping from custody. Serves as the Protagonist. Another role is for Todd Cargill Support Male Mid 40s. Caucasian. A mentally handicapped man, perhaps autistic, who serves as a guide (both physically and spiritually) for Paul during his escape from prison. The client was also casting for the role of James Sheve Support Male Late 20s. Caucasian. The youngest brother of Paul and Thomas. Where Thomas and Paul serve as polar opposites to motivate the plot's conflict, James is somewhere in the middle. Being the consummate peace keeper, he joins forces with Gerard and Lassiter in order to help facilitate the best outcome for all involved parties. Three more roles include Young Paul Support Male Early 20s. Caucasian. A misguided and impulsive youth who finds himself on the wrong side of the law. A rebel, but a leader. Oddly enough, he serves as the Antagonist for the brother's back-story. Lt. Giovanni Support Male 40s. A Devoted Police Lieutenant for the small Texas town of Miller and Thomas Sheve's right hand man. He believes in his own moral aptitude, but is easily swayed when it is time to make the tough decisions. His deep sense of loyalty is his Achilles heel. Young Thomas Support Male Late teens. Caucasian. The middle of three brothers and constant protector and hero. He is overwhelmed by his own sense of responsibility toward others and easily sacrifices himself for the protection of the weak and innocent. He is the Protagonist for the brother's back story, but allows his own pride and skewed sense of justice become his eventual undoing. There are also child and female roles available for the film.
Shooting begins December 13, in Fort Worth, Decatur, Bridgeport, and Chico, TX.The film is being done by Karch Brothers Entertainment. All roles in this film are paid! Good luck to all of our talent who were able to audition.
10 of our Kentucky talent were invited to audition for feature film "The Wicked One".
The film is being produced by Jonestown Films and Silver Chain Films. The Wicked One is a Psychological Thriller. It is about Lauren Porter who is lost. While trying to balance her job as a Radio DJ for Stretch FM and her home life with fiance Will, Lauren begins to be plagued by nightmares and visions of a horrific figure known as The Wicked One. At the same time several of the town's people begin to be murdered in dastardly ways leading some to believe the town's haunted past has come back to exact revenge. Now as secrets are revealed and Lauren's mental state continues to deteriorate the dark truth about The Wicked One will be revealed.
The client was casting for several roles including the roles of Will Bennett- Late 20's, Fiance to our Lead Lauren. Will is a faithful, loyal, and all around good guy. He tolerates Lauren pushing him away all the while worrying about her mental state and her well being. Olivia Adams- Mid 20's, a rocker type chick, outspoken, best friend to our lead Lauren Porter, works with her as a Radio host at Stretch FM, does wild and spontaneous things 24/7. Sheriff Mason Porter- Late 40's, small town Sheriff, mild mannered, takes a lot to get him angry, always wants to do what's right, regrets certain mistakes he's made in his past. Has tried to right his wrongs. Ann Porter- Late 40's, the sweet, quiet, and loving mother to our Lead Lauren and wife to Sheriff Porter. Ann is the down to earth, middle class woman who would do anything for her family. Alexandra Miller - 7-8 years old, beautiful dark haired young girl, sister of Colin Miller, is scared of her older brother, will grow up to become Lauren Porter. Mia Morgan- 7-10 years old, kidnapped little girl, scared beyond belief, an emotional wreck, the last victim of young Colin Miller. They were also casting for many more roles.
This is a Non-Union production. The film will be shot in and around Richmond and Lexington Kentucky in March 2014 with a majority of shooting to take place on weekends. Shoot dates will take place from March 7th to April 13th, 2014. The auditions are being held Saturday, January 11th in Richmond, Kentucky. The client was looking for someone to be their online spokesperson. They were looking for talent that can be animated without being over the top, and that can take direction well. They needed taletn who could speak and read fluently in Spanish. The talent were asked to send in an audition video. Good luck to all of our models who were requested for the video audition. 28 of our Pennsylvania talent have been requested to audition for an upcoming TV series Gentrification.
Gentrification is defined as "a shift in an urban community towards wealthier residents and/or businesses and increasing property values, sometimes at the expense of the poorer residents of the community". Their series centers around the gentrification of many urban cities around the country such as Detroit, Chicago, and Atlanta where they are seeing an influx of Surburan White familes move back into the inner city.
They are looking to pitch this series to major networks such as A&E, F/X, Showtime and more. The Casting Call is being held on Dec. 7th. The show is being done by Walking Bird Productions is an independent television and film production company founded in 2011. Their mission statement is to create film products with the perfect balance of Marketability, Originality, & Creativity. The vision of the company is to have a great melting pot atmosphere filled with creative movers and shakers who are not just interested in jumping in and out of projects hoping to find the next big thing but partnering with talented individuals looking to create the next big thing. They specialize in dramatic web series, comedic television pilot creations, as well as short & long films. Essentially, all of their products are products of original nature and should epitomize their dominance in the creative field. Through making great features and networking they will build a brand with recognition that prevents our products from being overlooked or intentionally duplicated.
They are looking for actors and actress of different ethnicities from the ages of 12 to adult for various roles in a TV series that will be go into production in 2014. They are looking for high energy, personality and overall acting ability. The TV series is a Dramady, so they want talent to show their dramatic and comedic abilities. She thinks she finally has it all until her dream prince turns into a complete nightmare, Chrissy has to make the hard decision to file for divorce and return to the US with her infant daughter Mia. Now the once super independent socialite has to figure out how to juggle motherhood and getting her career back on track, which she chronicles in a blog where she invites all her readers to join her on her journey to a new self discovery of strength and perseverance she never knew she had.
This project is from award winning filmmaker Corey Packer with Chest Pound Films and Nzinga Blake, well known as the original co-host of the Cartoon Network Fridays, as well as working at Current TV and BET. Nzinga Blake is an American / Sierra Leonean actress. She also was on Culture Click on Litton's Weekend Adventure, as well as in national television commercials for Sprite and Kinkos. According to Wikipedia, she was "Born in Maryland, Nzinga Blake has been a jet setter from birth with a love for the arts, fashion and humanitarian efforts. As the daughter of a Sierra Leonean former UN official, cabinet minister, and world scholar, she spent a majority of her childhood in Tokyo, Japan and Nairobi, Kenya. While in Japan Nzinga, her older sister and Mother, a clinical dietitian, were swept into the fashion scene as models, which is where Nzinga began her love for fashion. She also starred in several Japanese and English musical theater performances from grade school overseas and throughout high school, igniting her love and devotion to the arts."

8 of our Detroit talent were chosen to audition for a short comedy film titled "George O. Duncan."
George O. Duncan is the only child of the wealthiest family on a world called The Aven. After learning his testicles are going to burst he has only one night to impregnate a girl and continue on his family lineage. Meanwhile back on Earth, a naive boy named David tries to lose his virginity before the world ends. So, there's David from Earth and George from The Aven. Although their paths never directly cross, their actions, struggles, and dilemmas are always directly in line with one another. It's a comedy about sex. A journey though space. And the story of the loves and friendships we lose and gain throughout our lifetimes.
According to the film's kickstarter campaign page the director says, "The idea for this film came about in my Junior year in high school (over 4 years ago). I went to a summer program at NYU for screenwriting and decided to write it. What was a run of the mill idea to me turned out to be one of the craziest ideas my classmates had ever heard. I put it aside until I worked with Alexander Kang (our Director of Photography) on a production last Spring. Once he heard it, he decided it had to be made. This past summer he lived with Greg Jones (our Producer) in Los Angeles. Alex was an Intern at a studio, Greg worked at an agency, while I stayed in Detroit as a Locations Intern for Ryan Gosling's How to Catch a Monster. Alex kept insisting we Skype. I thought he was joking, but he wasn't. And I'm glad about that. Because I'm excited for the world to see what many people have told me seems like the craziest movie of all time."
The client was casting for the roles of Dr. Lenafil and Mary. Dr. Lenafil is aged 30-60. He went to the worst medical school around. He's abrasive and matter of fact. It's funny how abrupt he is. Mary is around the age of 25. She is sensual and intelligent in the eyes, she is a smooth talker. Money is her driving force. She dresses nicer than her job calls for.
Auditions for the film took place on November 25th. The shoot will take place on weekends from January 4th - February 8th in 2014. Good luck to all of our talent who have been requested to audition for the film!
