FOX's Moment Of Truth

Moment of Truth - One Source Talent Blog

We all know that telling the truth has it's rewards.... what if you were offered $500,000 to tell the truth?? Would you? Sounds easy... Fox's new show 'The Moment of Truth' quizes contestants on personal questions and use a lie detector to determine if they're telling the truth. Contestants that continue to tell the truth get more and more money. When I first thought about it, I thought to myself, oh how easy... But of course it's Fox and another reality TV show and this show definitly gets personal! What deep dark secret would you divulge for hundreds of thousands of dollars?  Check out a clip of the hit show:

Are You Untraceable?

Untraceable - One Source Talent
[Via WrostPreviews.com
Best Actress Oscar nominee Diane Lane stars in "Untraceable", which released last Friday. The movie was overall thrilling and entertaining...just until the end, which was a let down. I have to say the internet is crazy! This movie definitely makes you wonder!

"UNTRACEABLE" also has a relevant and accurate message about todays society. Why are we drawn to "evil" in our media. If you were to turn on the TV and watch the news or pick up a newspaper...it's all bad news and often murder, yet we are drawn to it and read about it. This film explores that but not in a preachy way but in a way that is both intense, entertaining and thought-provoking. Thought that was cool.

Here's the plot: Within the FBI, there exist a division dedicated to investigating and prosecuting criminals on the internet. Welcome to the front lines of the war on cybercrime, where Special Agent Jennifer Marsh (Lane) has seen it all... until now. A tech-savvy internet predator is displaying his graphic murders on his own website - and the fate of each of his tormented captives is left in the hands of the public: the most hits his site gets, the faster his victims die. When the game of cat and mouse becomes personal, March and her team must race against the clock to track down this technical mastermind who is virtually untraceable.

27 Dresses - One Source Talent Review

So if you are in the mood for a really good chic flick, "27 Dresses" is it! Directed by Aline Brosh McKenna, who brought you the Devil Wears Prada, 27 Dresses is about a young woman (Katherine Heigl) who wrestles with the idea of standing by her sister's side as her sibling marries the man she's secretly in love with. Heigl goes on an emotional journey organizing the wedding of her nightmare, playing off miss nice girl, only to realize at the end she is in love with sexy stalker writer guy for the newspaper (James Marsde). The movie is both romantic and comedic. Katherine Heighl [from Grey's Anatomy] is amazing in this movie and she looks flawless. I enjoyed it very much! And I'm sure you will too. You'll be wanting to get married by the end of it, just as I did. The movie also stars Edward Burns and Malin Akerman. Check out the trailer:

No Striking out for the People's Choice Awards

People's Choice Awards - One Source Talent

If you didn't get a chance to watch the People's Choice Awards this past Monday... don't worry, becauase you didn't miss much! For all the people who voted for this year's winners, Very Lame! Here's the breakdown:

Of course for TV, the people love Grey's Anatomy, Dancing With The Stars and Two and a Half Men. Such a shocker!?!

When it came to music... Mr. Sexy Back himself, Justin Timberlake, took home two-and-a-half awards. Also, Rascal Flatts took a couple awards home Tuesday night. (WHY??)

And Robin Williams accepted his award for favorite funny male while on tour with the United Service Organizations in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Queen Latifa - People Choice Awards - One Source Talent

The show, which suprisingly made it past the picket line, had to be one of the worst ways to start 2008.  One thing I enjoyed from this years People Choice Award show was the host, Queen Latifa. Love her!! Here's what she had to say about the show: "The thing about the People's Choice Awards that's different from everybody else is it's the people's choice," she said. "So as much as we actors and writers and everyone are dealing with the writers strike and supporting the Writers Guild, you can't disrespect the people who keep us working, and that's the people. Ten million people logged on and voted for everyone, so out of respect for them, we have to" present the awards.

OST Reviews: National Treasure: Book of Secrets

National Treasure - One Source Talent
[Via IMDB
The saga continues with "National Treasure: Book of Secrets", the follow up to "National Treasure" staring Nicholas Cage. The same cast is back in this movie, directed by Jon Turteltaub, which is no different from his first one in my opinion. Ben Gates hunts for the truth behind Abraham Lincoln's death. Why Lincoln? Pages of his great-grandfather's diary were found and this leads him to be a suspect as a key conspirator of the assasination. Ben then goes on a journey to prove his great-frandfather's innocence and to redeem the Gate's family name. Of course the journey is filled with chains of clues and a chase around the world and crazy relevations. Ok so this might be fun and exciting for 12 year olds and a great movie for a family to go see but for me: Total disappointment! The only thing that saved this movie was Cage. I hate when movies are just good because of the A-list celebrity paid millions to be in. Not my idea of good acting.

A Shot at Love - The Tragedy!!

Shot at Love One Source Talent
[ Via MTV

Ok soooo... I missed the final episode of MTV's A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. Thank God! ... on the sad note: I did catch a re-run of it that next day.

Ok first of all... for those of you who haven't seen this lastest reality TV show... it's all about Tila. Tila, 25, became somewhat famous when she became the Queen Bee of MySpace, she has over 1.5 million friends and gets thousands of friend requests every day.  AND she also sings, raps, and models. So with all of her talents she ends up with a show on MTV where she looks for love because we all know you need to go on a reality TV show to find your soul mate but there is a twist to the show...Tila is bisexual!

The show started off with 16 straight males and 16 lesbian woman contestants and each got a shot at falling in love with Tila. The contestants didn't know that Tila was bisexual until the end of the first episode...awkward. Each episode she voted more and more contestants off the show. It was battle of the sexes if you ask me. The show was the highest rated show on MTV although I don't think it was too hot for many religious institutions. Overall I enjoyed it up until the final episode...

The last two contestants left to battle for Tila's heart stood in front of her. Dani...a cute butch lesbian firefighter I've ever seen and Bobby... a cute but dumb guy. Of course the decision was the "toughest decision in her life". There was one key left and.... she picks..... BOBBY!! Check it out:

Ok at this point I was really annoyed. I'm not a big fan of girl on girl action myself, but I really thought Dani and Tila made a cute couple. Dani seemed so nice and sweet (and we both have the same hair cut!). She ended up picking Bobby... of all people on this crazy reality tv show. What kills me is that as Dani walks away, Tila chases after her screaming her name, Gives her one big hug and leaves the girl in tears. How tragic! :(  OK so thats my take on it. I want a shot at love with Dani! haha... I wish the Dani the best and the best to Bobby and Tila!!

"A Shot At Love With Tila Tequila" spins off a new comedic, romantic elimination series, "That's Amore!" starring Domenico Nesci, one of the fan-favorite contestants from the first season of the breakout hit series. I have to say I love these shows. I can't wait to see this one!

Another One Crowned 'America's Next Top Model'

For those of you who missed out on the big finale on Top Model's Cycle 9, here's what happened!

The final three, Chantal, Saleisha, and Jenah started out with the infamous Cover Girl commercial.  Chantal caught on quick and nailed her commercial, while Saleisha and Jenah had some trouble.  Next was the Cover Girl photo shoot which would appear as a print ad for there new product Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers Lipgloss.  Each girl represented a flavor, Saleisha was Tangerine Splash, Jenah was Strawberry Splash and Chantal was Lemon Splash.  All three girls had amazing shots.

At deliberations each girl was asked who deserved to be there and who didn't.  Of course each girl voted for herself when it came to who deserved to be there but Chantal and Saleisha said Jenah didn't deserve this opportunity because of her sarcastic attitude and Chantal even had the nerve to say that she wouldn't want her little sister looking up to a person like Jenah...ouch!  Once Jenah's turn came around she finally broke down in front of the panel after Tyra poked and prodded about Jenah's past.  It seems that Jenah from a young age had to raise her sister's which made her have a tough exterior = a sarcastic bravado.  Ultimately Chantal and Saleisha made the final two and Jenah got sent home feeling misunderstood.
