14 Mission," a short film which explores several characters and spaces within San Francisco as they contemplate their way of living. Director states: "Character will be explored through sounds, visuals, and less conventional storytelling as opposed to goal-driven plot points."
Seb is a photographer living in San Francisco. He has had success in the past with small magazine companies by taking on assignments overseas, working in places like Cambodia, India, Pakistan and Nepal. Now back home in california, he struggles to find the same energy in the space around him. He sits in his run-down apartment and reminisces on his creative energy and past works. He wonders if he's losing his passion and needs to find real job security.
When he's not on assignment or doing side-projects, Seb engages with Jodie, a call girl from the Bay area. She's been doing it for years and started early to put herself through school. It pays well, she gets to choose her clients and how far she's willing to go with them. She was comfortable with her sexuality from a young age. It was something she enjoyed and she didn't feel constrained to one partner. Now she's out of school, has some money and a relationship with Seb that's edging out of the boundaries of a regular client. Jodie contemplates putting an end to it.
