Why can't I see all the recent castings?
In order to see all the castings you need to be a member of One Source Talent. The castings listed are to provide some information on the types of castings we are currently providing our talent.
Where do you get all this information on castings?
We have a Talent and Client Services department located in the corporate headquarters which pulls castings and submits talent electronically nationwide. In addition, they help new talent get placed with an agency in their local area. Since some agencies prefer talent with some experience, we also work with a variety of companies and casting directors to provide talent with information on local open calls and castings. You might consider doing this on your own; however you will miss out on the opportunity of having our staff complete the work for you effectively and efficiently. We will spend many hours of research and compile this information for your convenience. Lastly, our registered agencies and clients are always searching for new talent on our online database 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
So you are not an agency?
That is correct. What we do is offer is the information and necessary tools to help talent break into the entertainment industry. Before One Source talent was around, people trying to break into the entertainment field would spend hundreds of hours trying to learn the ropes and find where they fit into this very competitive industry. We provide that information for our talent in the hopes that an educated decision is the best decision a person can make.
This sounds too good to be true.
We like to hear that and hope we are doing a good job. It has taken the industry a long time to get up to speed with current technology. Modeling is a field where using the power of the internet has vastly improved how models, clients and agencies work together. By having physical offices where talent can meet with our trained staff, participate in events, and get a full understanding of how the industry works is our way of taking this concept to the next level. In turn, this concept will bring many new fresh faces to a chance of success in the world of modeling and acting.
